This is at the end of my 5th month (beginning of 6th month) during our trip to Waco and Dallas at the beginning of March 2006. We are on our way home stopping at the Texas-Oklahoma border. I'm starting to show now (but feel that people think I'm just fat!!). The trip went well and I felt pretty good when we got back. We were able to visit with friends in Waco (Ralph Wood, Kathy Van Wolfe & Terry Sefcik) and visit the Baylor University campus where we did some baby shopping at the campus bookstore!
We went to our third visit to the baby doctor. I had a dud of a doctor (I hope he doesn't deliver me!!). We had our big ultrasound and let's first say that the baby is a very mobile child. At first I didn't think that he or she would cooperate, but they were able to pinpoint the gender and was very certain. Are you ready?!? IT'S A GIRL!!! She's right on track for her due date so far and everything looked great! Everyone is so happy!! It was definitely a surreal experience! I haven't started to feel her kick yet, but they said it might take a little longer since my placenta is attached directly in the front of my stomach. There are a lot of layers for the baby to kick through!! I will wait patiently I guess, but I'm anxious to feel her move inside me. I'm feeling good so far. I have just the usually pains from my ever expanding stomach, so I'm very fortuante.
Stick with me, we're half way there!!
